The Restore Trust is pleased to have been selected as a tier 2 provider working alongside the prime Contractor the Shaw Trust and other specialist providers in the South West to deliver the NOMS Co-Financing Organisation Round 3 (CFO 3) contract. The contract receives funding from the European social fund.

One of the core objectives of CFO 3 is to improve social inclusion. Many of the participants the Restore Trust will work with have experienced multiple difficulties accessing education and training – excluding them from finding better opportunities after release from prison. The Restore Trust will work with other specialist providers to help participants improve confidence, motivation and access specialist support to move participants towards accessing mainstream services and training and job opportunities. A dedicated case manager and access to mentoring support will be provided to every individual we work with to provide guidance, advice and support.

Participants will also be able to access accredited personal development and vocational training and specialist disclosure advice and support. Suzanne Thompson, CEO of The Restore Trust, said: ” many of the participants we work with in both the prisons and community face a number of barriers and as a result of this are often disengaging from mainstream services. The new CFO 3 service of which The Restore Trust are proud to play a part takes an intelligent approach to addressing social exclusion and its link with reoffending by providing intensive case management and specialist support to participants who are most in need of it to help them change their lives and reduce their risk of reoffending. Our work is designed to be personalised with the individual participant in mind and recognises that there will be no quick fixes, so support is offered on a long term basis to help build skills, confidence and motivation to help participants have the best opportunity to integrate back into the community”
